Happy Fathers day!

Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there especially my dad, and my father in law! We are so blessed to have amazing men like you in our lives, and thank you for being great examples to our families! We love you both sooo much, and appreciate all you do for us!

Jake pitched last night, and we all got to watch him on MILB TV!! It was so exciting and fun! He did pretty good! We keep joking with him about the first inning, he ALWAYS gives up 3 runs, he needs to break that curse! My dad says "Just pretend it is the 2nd inning." He pulled through the rest of the game, and pitched 6 innings! The last few games he has struggled or what we could call a slump. We think he is finally out of that and back to his old self again! We all were very proud of him last night, and so glad we got to watch him!!
Getting ready for the first inning

so thankful we all got to see him on tv!

I wanted to share this off of Riders Insider Blog that Jake wrote about his dad during an interview for the pre-game today!

RHP, Jake Brigham: One of seven kids (four brothers, two sisters) , Jake grew up in Florida where his dad was a barber.  He had to cut a lot of hair to support all those hungry mouths and thus had one day off a week: Wednesday.
“Every Wednesday afternoon he’d take us seven kids to Barnett Park and we had practically enough players to field a team.  I remember him pitching to us … We all got a chance to field, catch, hit, and play the outfield.” -http://ridersinsider.mlblogs.com/

This was also on the blog, and is what Jake spends MOST of his time doing in the clubhouse, and on the bus! PLAYING CARDS...This was taken by Aaron the radio guy.

They had to be on that bus for 7 hours!! Did not arrive to Corpus Christi until 6:30 am Thursday Morning!! Jake was exhausted just like the rest of the players! They sure do have to travel a lot, and find things to do which includes cards a lot!! :) They are back on the bus for another 7 hour bus trip back to Frisco!
